I am a journalist, currently in my second year of BA Journalism at the University of Lincoln. Whilst being at university, I have completed an internship at ABC News' London Bureau, and have become a freelance journalism coordinator at BBC Radio Lincolnshire. Additionally, I am an editor for the universities video news platform LSJ News. 

I am currently looking for work experience opportunities around my studies, as well as potential opportunities for after my third year. 

Controversial internet personality Andrew Tate banned from TikTok, Instagram and YouTube

LONDON -- The internet personality and former kickboxer Andrew Tate has spoken out after being banned from Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok this week, accused of misogyny.

Tate, who first came into the public eye when he was ejected from the U.K. reality show Big Brother in 2016, has gone viral across these platforms over the last few months, amassing hundreds of thousands of followers in the process.

Mattel's new inclusive Barbie line released in UK

Mattel's "Fashionistas" line is Barbie's most diverse and inclusive line yet with more than 175 different looks. It aims to offer children dolls with a variety of skin tones, body types and disabilities.

"[My daughter] really loves it," said Kim Hurley from South London, referring to her 10-year-old daughter Lexi. "She's had a massive smile on her face and said, 'She's just like me Mummy, and her hearing aids are pink too!'"

Putin revives Soviet-era title of 'Mothers Heroine'

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently reinstated a Soviet-era award, giving women who have ten or more children a single payment of a million rubles (worth $16,747 USD, as of publishing).

The honorary title and certification of "Mother Heroine" are given to the mother once their tenth living child turns 1 year old.

According to Putin's decree, mothers will still be eligible for the award if their child dies as a result of war or from an act of terrorism, or in an emergency situation.
